With more mountains than Switzerland and with more than 25 beautiful areas
that you can ski or board in New Zealand is increasingly become a winter sports

When staying in Christchurch the Mt Hutt Ski Field is widely agreed to be the
best snow in New Zealand. Easily accessible from Christchurch, with over 360
hectares of ski able area and with stunning views over Christchurch and beyond,
it is easy to see why the Mt Hutt Ski Field is so highly regarded.
The ski season in Christchurch / Mt Hutt is from June to October each year. The
routes are split between beginners, intermediates and advance routes. Lessons
are available for all standards and ages.
Mt. Hutt has plenty of adrenaline-pumping black diamond runs on the South
Face, and lots of wide open terrain for first-time skiers. There are a total of 10 lifts
which will bring you to your slope of choice. These lifts are a combination of quad
chairs, triple chairs and surface lifts.
